THE OVERNIGHT PORTION OF OUR ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION

It has become a Hat Ladies tradition to offer Ladies the option to, in essence, have a pajama party surrounding our Anniversary Luncheon. In this case, it was held the night before.  We would sleep at the beach houses of one of our hatsisters and her biological sister.  But we would start the day on the water!

Some of us accepted the gracious offer from George, Brother to Jackie, to being our day and night by touring his island.  We arrive in high cotton, thanks to one of his friends.

Brother George, as he is affectionately called, owns a historic island off the coast of Folly Beach.  It has been in the family for generations.  He loves sharing it, and we loved him for sharing it with us.

George shares the historic documents detailing the Revolutionary and Civil War history of his Island.

Time to explore for ourselves, with him as our Guide, of course.

Some will ride, while others wait their turn and walk.

Time to stop and enjoy the picnic lunches we packed,

smell the roses, watch the dolphins,

and just plain SMILE at the glorious time we are having and will continue to have the entire weekend!
