MEMBER PROFILE

Archie Burkel is known as The Top Hat of The Hat Ladies.  She created this Organization ten years ago for Ladies of all ages who love hats of all colors.  They do not sell or make hats; they simply love wearing them.  They war them at their monthly Luncheon and Hatpy Hour and while volunteering, in a perfect blend of fashion and compassion.

The Hat Ladies believe when you look good, you feel good, and when you feel good, you do good.  They are living proof that women never lose their need for self-esteem.  Better Homes and Gardens described them as a "stylish brigade of volunteers who are making a difference."  This difference is reflected in their own lives as well.

As the leader of this brigade, Archie can pull inspiration out of a hat and weave it into her speeches to women's groups.  Her presentation moves from the practical aspects of hat wearing to its symbolism, giving the audience something to hang their hat on.

Archie and The Hat Ladies have appeared in local, national, and international print media and on television and radio.  They bring their message to The United Nations where they host an annual Hats of The World Luncheon for the female ambassadors.
