We are Ladies of all ages and backgrounds who wear our genuine love of hats of all colors in a spirit of camaraderie and community service. We are dedicated to the philosophy tHAT when "You look good, you feel good. And when you feel good, you do good."
We look forward to being "fashionable ambassadors" in our community as The Hat Ladies are in every community where they live.
Ladies who throw their hat into the ring are asked to "give," but they shall also "receive:"

EXPECTATIONS OF HAT LADIES OF HUNTERDON
Since The Hat Ladies is based on a love of hat wearing and
volunteering, there are certain stipulations that must be honored by all:
1. Wearing a hat to all Hat Ladies functions, including during the monthly
cHApTer meetings and volunteer events. (Of course, members are encouraged to
wear their hats to outside events as well.)
2. Participating in at least one volunteer Hat Ladies activity per year
3. Participating in as many HaTpenings as possible.
DUES:
Per our cHArTer with The Hat Ladies LLC, each Hunterdon cHApTer member is
to pay $25.00 in dues annually.
Dues checks should be made out to "The Hat Ladies of Hunterdon." Cash dues
payments must be made in a sealed envelope bearing the member’s name.
Unfortunately, credit cards cannot be used as a means of paying dues. Dues are
not tax deductible.
OTHER COSTS:
A Calendar of "HaTpenings" (Events) will be communicated to the cHApTer
membership each month. Naturally some will require payment, but volunteerism is
always free. Most of all, Ladies will have a choice.
The cHApTer meets monthly at a predetermined place. Reservations are always
made through the cHApTer coordinator. Of the 12 monthly cHApTer meetings per
year, Afternoon Tea is served at ten (10) of them, costing $15 per person, which
includes gratuity. The other two monthly meetings are Luncheons, costing $35
per person, including gratuity. The Autumn Luncheon is held in October; the
Spring Luncheon in April.
You may attend one monthly meeting (Tea or Luncheon) as a guest prior to
becoming a member by making a reservation through the cHApTer Coordinator.
However, no further Reservations can be made until you become a cHApTer
member.
Out of town guests are welcomed and encouraged. However, an advance
reservation is required.
COMMUNICATION:
Email is the preferred mechanism for the cHApTer Coordinator to communicate with
the Hunterdon cHApTer membership, but email is by no means required. Fax
numbers can be used or Ladies may provide 10 self-addressed stamped envelopes
(adding $5.00 to cover xerox charges).
Please specify your communication preference to the cHApTer Coordinator. As
circumstances change, your communication preference can be updated by contacting
the cHApTer Coordinator.
