DAY OF CARING

The Hat Ladies are proud to participate every year in two volunteer activities as part of the National Day of Caring...held to balance the horror of 9-1-1 with the goodness of Americans

Of course, it is comes as a great sacrifice since our faces ache the rest of the day from smiling and laughing so much.  If anyone doubts there is JOY in hats for people of all ages and cultures, these photos will prove it.

CHARLESTON AREA SENIOR CITIZEN SERVICES

The Hat Ladies once again brought our fun program of hats, music, and good cheer to the members of this downtown Center

The one and only Yvonne, Director of The Senior Center, introduces The Hat Ladies

Our song and dance show is about to begin, as the military looks on; they will soon get into the act, too!

The guests are soon in the spirit

Our singing Hat Lady Lis leads us in God Bless America, as she always does at the end of such programs

One of the guests leads us in his song, as Dani looks on in admiration

We are now joined in photo as we were in spirit by those handsome military musclemen

Time for a quick bite to eat before we're off to:

MEMMINGER ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

We now entertain those at the other end of the age spectrum...to no less delight on all sides! We share hats representing different professions and cultures; we sing; we dance; we perform a play.

Jeanie, Cathie, Linda, Becky, Rosie, Archie, and Marlene can't wait to model the hats we will share with the students

SAME TIME, NEXT YEAR!!!!!!!!
